ONE DIRECTION'S MUMS ARE CONCERNED OVER BOYS TATTOO ADDICTION

One Direction's mums are not pleased with the ongoing need for the boys to keep getting more tattoos. Niall Horan is the only one of the group that is tattoo free. What are their mums concerned about?
One Direction's Harry Styles, 18, and Zayn Malik, 19, have been competing to get the "coolest" tattoos. And sources say that the competition has been ramped up to the point that Styles wants to surpass Malik in having the most tattoos in the group. Styles' latest tattoos are two identical birds on his chest on November 8, 2012. He tweeted photos of the tattoos.
Speculation he chose"swallows" because they are always on the go and travel like our band and return home safe or represent finding your soul mate.
Just hours after Styles got inked with the bird tattoos, One Direction's Malik and Louis Tomlinson, 20, got new tattoos on their arms at Shamrock Tattoos in West Hollywood, California.
But not everyone is loving the fast rate that members of One Direction have been getting tattoos. An insider tells me that Styles' mother, Anne Cox, is "very concerned at what Harry is doing to his body in such a short period of time, but since he's an adult, there's nothing that she can do about it. She's talked to Harry about it, but he's determined to get as many tattoos as he wants." (One of Styles' tattoos is of the letter "A" that he got in honor of his mother. Malik drew that tattoo.)
The insider adds that Styles and Malik are "definitely addicted to getting tattoos. No one knows yet how far their addiction will go. Zayn's mother has concerns too, but she's not worried as Harry's mother is. Harry is very competitive. He wants to be number one in everything he does, so the same goes for getting tattoos."
There used to be a time when it would be scandalous for teen idols to get so many tattoos, but times have definitely changed. Sources say that the only rule that One Direction's management has about the tattoos is that none of the guys in One Direction gets any tattoos on his face.
One Direction's Liam Payne, 19, recently got a tattoo on his neck. Payne told "Extra" that his mother "is not going to be very happy at all" about him getting the tattoo. He added, "She's going to be very cross."
So far, One Direction's Niall Horan, 19, has been the least caught up in One Direction's tattoo fever. He has said in interviews that he thought about getting certain tattoos, including the slogan "Made in Ireland" (in a nod to his Irish heritage) and a bar code. But in the end, he said that he just didn't want to go through the process of getting tattooed.
